THE BEAUTIFUL GAME DESERVES A BEAUTIFUL HOME
INDIANA’S MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER, OUTDOOR SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT SHOWCASE
With Indianapolis’ status as the sports capital of the United States growing every year and the State of Indiana’s international profile continually on the rise, this multipurpose venue will bolster the economic engine of sports and entertainment in downtown Indy.
This stadium will showcase soccer and host an array of sporting and entertainment events that will be of interest to all Hoosiers while also attracting regional, national and international audiences to the Hoosier State.
This stadium will be your stadium for Major League Soccer and more. Together, we can ensure soccer’s future is even brighter than it is here and now.
The enthusiasm of the sell-out crowds we all witnessed in Indy Eleven’s inaugural season is clear evidence that this city and state are ready to take the next step in creating the best soccer and sporting experience for fans and supporters. That “next step” is a soccer stadium capable of handling the growing numbers of Hoosiers who count themselves as supporters of Indy Eleven and professional soccer.
The Ronald McDonald House of Indiana appreciates the partnership we have established with Indy Eleven and the support they have extended to our families. Indy Eleven is making a positive difference in our community, and we look forward to continuing our relationship with them in the years ahead.
The many successes of Indy Eleven’s inaugural year demonstrated that there is pent up demand for professional soccer in Indiana, and it is not a matter of if, but when a stadium that can showcase soccer becomes a part of the state’s landscape. The Indiana Soccer family is excited about the prospects of this stadium in the heart of Central Indiana where both amateurs and professionals can assemble to showcase and celebrate their passion for the expanding sport of soccer, rather than be required to travel outside of Indiana for such an experience.
Honda Manufacturing of Indiana’s inaugural year as partners with Indy Eleven was very exciting for our team of more than 2,000+ employees located in Greensburg. The partnership between Honda and Indy Eleven made perfect sense even from the beginning. It didn’t take us long to find out that our philosophies aligned. One of Honda’s core philosophies is to have a challenging spirit, and there is no doubt that Indy Eleven and its fans have that same spirit.
Wish For Our Heroes is pleased that the folks at Indy Eleven not only see the difficulties faced by our Hoosier Heroes, but are dedicated to making the lives of our troops better for no reason other than they believe it’s the right thing to do. Our program with Indy Eleven during the 2014 season contributed over $42,000 in donations to troops all over Indiana and has had a significant impact on the morale of the families within our community.
The thousands of American Outlaws and general United States Soccer fans are ready to bring our nation’s men’s and women’s teams to the Circle City. The World Cup Watch Party on Mass Ave last summer was a great example of how much Hoosiers crave soccer at all levels, and specifically the international game. Let’s not let the United States Soccer Federation forget about Indianapolis anymore!
Indy Eleven has done a great job connecting with the community and growing the sport of soccer in Indiana. It’s exciting to see the sport grow, and this stadium will ensure the sport’s future in the Hoosier State.
This stadium will be a huge asset for the State of Indiana in so many ways. With all the growth and success we are seeing at all levels of the game it would be fantastic to have a state-of-the-art stadium to showcase and celebrate our game. It would be great to have our soccer program at IU play an occasional match in a soccer-specific stadium that rivals some of the finest venues in the U.S.
From day one, Indy Eleven has been a great partner for us at Chatham Tap. Our pubs have been used as a gathering point for many team-driven events before the inaugural season ever started, and continued to be a place where a diverse group of fans could come together to watch the matches. Indy Eleven quickly established itself in a very crowded local sports scene, and helped to continue the growth of the ever-expanding fan base of soccer in Indianapolis. A stadium that they could call their own would only continue to fuel this growth and bring more people and dollars to the downtown community.
As an organization representing more than 1,200 families across the Wabash Valley, we can have a positive impact on a project such as HB 1273 that is good for our youth and a positive impact for the development of soccer across Indiana.
I fully support the proposal being heard by state lawmakers to build a multipurpose stadium that can boost the sport of soccer in Indiana, and our economy as well. Serving almost 400 players from ages 7 to 18, and a multitude of family members and volunteers supporting them, our club is proof of the lasting and growing popularity of soccer in the Hoosier State.
A stadium of this size would be perfect to hold high school tournament games, NCAA lacrosse games, and Major League Lacrosse (MLL) games. The ability to host games of this caliber would make a huge impact on youth lacrosse players throughout our state. The lacrosse community has proven that it wants games of this caliber played here.
It is my sincere hope that the Multi – Purpose Stadium is built in Indianapolis. It would be a tremendous venue that would attract the booming sport of men’s and women’s lacrosse.
Indianapolis has been yearning for a quality fan experience for a quality professional soccer presence. This is clearly evident in the successful inaugural season of the Indy Eleven. The owner and management team were on the mark in creating this experience. I so enjoyed the experience that I have become a season ticket holder for 2015. The market for soccer will only grow as soccer has been the #1 youth participation sport in the U.S. for many years!
